The Debut album by ADINA EVEN-ZOHAR "For the First Time (in a long time)" combines 13 songs, including jazz standards, contemporary and original songs to present the listener with a smooth, romantic sound, showcasing Adina's deep, rich voice and sketching her life and personality. Adina performs the songs with emotion and softness evoking memories of days gone by and the styles of vocal inspirations Frank Sinatra, Chet Baker, Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughn and Shirley Horne. Adina weaves stories and emotions which are both personal and universal.
"For the First Time (in a long time)" whose title track is an original song with lyrics written by Even-Zohar was produced by seasoned music producer Luis Lahav and masterfully arranged by Adi Rennert. Like the definition of the name Adina, meaning tender, the songs blend together smoothly to create a experience of pure tenderness.
The album was recorded in Paris, France with additional recordings in Israel and hosts a stellar ensemble of international musicians: Adi Rennert on piano, French drummer André Ceccarelli, French double bass player Diego Imbert, New York based Israeli saxophonist Eli Degibri .Also featured are Israeli guitarist Amos Hoffman and Brazilian-born Israeli percussionist Joca Perpignan.
